Woman Killed, 3 Injured After Car Crashes at High Speed in West Hollywood

A woman was killed and three others were injured after a car crash late Thursday in West Hollywood.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and fire officials responded at about 11:55 p.m. to the scene near Stanley and Fountain avenues, said Sgt. Enrique Mandujan of the West Hollywood station.

A 2004 Infiniti was traveling at a high rate of speed on Fountain Avenue when it sideswiped a parked vehicle, Mandujan said. The car then collided with a light pole, struck a fence and came to rest upside down in the westbound lanes of Fountain Avenue, west of Stanley Avenue, Mandujan said.

One of the occupants was pronounced dead at the scene, Mandujan said, and three others in the car were transported to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
