Man Sought in Robbery at Chase Bank in Seal Beach; Suspect May Be Linked to Heists in Laguna Beach and Torrance

Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for robbing a Chase Bank in Seal Beach on Thursday.

The bank robbery was reported just before 4 p.m. at the Chase Bank located at 801 Pacific Coast Highway. The suspect – described as a white male,  was armed with a silver, long-barreled handgun, according to a news release from the Seal Beach Police Department.

He was described as standing approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build.

Police said he was last seen wearing a black or gray shirt, dark colored jeans and was wearing a black ski mask.

The suspect fled the bank on foot. Police did not say how much money the robber got away with during the heist.

Seal Beach police said the suspect matches the description of a gunman who recently committed crimes in Laguna Beach and Torrance.
