The incident was reported about 11:54 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and North Stanley Avenue, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Darren Diviak.

The car was traveling westbound on Fountain at a high rate of speed when it clipped a parked BMW, Diviak said.

The contact sent the car into a light poll and then the front wall of a nearby residence before it flipped over, Diviak said.

Video from the scene showed severe damage to the top of an Infinity G35.

One person was killed in the crash and three others were taken to a local hospital, Diviak said.

Two of those hospitalized were in critical condition and the other was listed as serious, Diviak said.

Drivers were asked to avoid Fountain between Spaulding Avene and Curson Avenue as authorities investigated the crash.
