The Pentagon was ordered to stop seeking repayments of enlistment bonuses of thousands of National Guard members Wednesday, the Associated Press is reporting.
U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter made the decision after members of Congress asked him to relieve the burden on the Guard members, who were described as victims of fraud by overzealous recruiters. according to the AP.
