Police were called to the 900 block of South Euclid Street after a stabbing was reported about 2 a.m. Thursday, said Officer John Hasso with the Anaheim Police Department.

Video showed officers near a Spires restaurant performing CPR on the victim, who died as a result of the injuries.

A homicide investigation was underway, but no description of the attacker was available.

Investigators are hoping nearby businesses will have surveillance video that could provide some leads in their search for the killer.

Authorities are also investigating a second, separate stabbing that occurred just after 11 p.m. near the intersection of Anaheim Boulevard and North Street, said Sgt. Dustin Ciscel with the Police Department.

The victim, described as a man, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, Ciscel said.

The injuries were not expected to be life threatening, said Sgt. Darren Wyatt with the Police Department.

Authorities have the alleged attacker in custody, Wyatt said.

Investigators do not believe the stabbings were related.

"We did have two stabbings overnight. They're completely unrelated," Wyatt said.
