A woman was found dead inside a motel in Harbor City on Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

At about 11:40 a.m. officers responded to the Colony Motel, located at 1629 Pacific Coast Highway, and found a woman dead inside one of the motel rooms, a police official told KTLA.
The woman suffered blunt force trauma, and appeared to be between the ages of 40 and 50, police said.
An investigation was underway.
No other information was immediately available.
