Firefighters Battle Small Brush Fire Near Pacific Palisades

Crews were responding to the scene of a small brush fire in Topanga State Park Wednesday evening, just outside of Pacific Palisades, officials said.

The flames were reported burning near the Palisades Highlands neighborhood around 6:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The fire was only about a quarter-acre in size and burning slowly, but was located in an inaccessible area near Temescal Ridge Trail and Skull Rock, firefighters said.

There was no wind and no threat to homes or other structures, according to LAFD.
