LAPD Responding to Reports of Shooting at USC, Police Say; Shelter in Place Order Issued

Police are responding to an unconfirmed report of a shooting at the University of Southern California campus early Monday afternoon, according to LAPD.

Officers are responding to the 3500 block of University Plaza, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Irma Mota told KTLA around 12:30 p.m. The location is in the Exposition Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

A shelter in place order has been issued due to the police activity,  which is taking place at Fertitta Hall at 610 Childs Way, USC stated in an alert.

Shots have been reported, but have not yet been confirmed according to LAPD, which said it is continuing a search of the campus.
