Brush Fire Near Homes in Burbank Prompts Mandatory Evacuations

Firefighters are responding to a brush fire burning near homes in Burbank on Wednesday afternoon. Mandatory evacuations have been issued.

KTLA viewer Rebecca Lopez sent in this photo of a fire burning in Burbank on June 28, 2017.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was assisting, having been called to the blaze at 1000 Hamlin Place just before 3 p.m., according to LAFD’s Amy Eastman.

No details from the Burbank Fire Department were immediately available.

Several other wildfires are burning in Southern California on Wednesday.
