A 12-year-old was hospitalized on Tuesday after being shot in the chest, according to the Pomona Police Department.
The child was dropped off by an unknown party at Pomona Valley Hospital in the 1700 block of North Garey Avenue with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Lieutenant Alex Rilloraza.
It is unclear where the shooting took place, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent a helicopter to pick up the child and transport them to a trauma center.
The 12-year-old’s current condition is unknown.
